I arrived the HK airport at around 930pm but eventually I leave the gate at 1000pm. My friends came to pick me up. The weather was first okay, though we know that the typhoon warning Signal No 1 was posted. When we finally arrived the final bus stop, it is pouring.
Well, my first impression of my home is, where are those clusters coming from? There were different kinds of boxes (paper box, plastic box) and all kinds of small decoration items. The bathroom looks nice. The kitchen with marble countertop but it didn't match the old tiles. The doors are nice and my room is bigger than before. My mother's room has slide doors and when I open them, I feel that it is a closet, may be a walk-in one.
Last night I can't sleep well, I went to bed at 2am and can't stand the noise and small of new bed so I woke up at 4am, started unpacking my luggages. This is probably the fastest time I unpacked, because I knew there are tonnes of stuffs kept in my room. I feel a bit hopeless to clear all those clusters while so many things do not belong to me.
I intended to start a new bank account to save my money but I was treated like an illegal immigrant as my ID card is in old version and I don't have a
valid address proof. HSBC is as bad as I knew and they charge if US cash deposit over $1000 at a time. I still believed that I did right, not bring a HSBC check back.
I have new cell phone number and my mother had to be the applicant. The salesperson this time was really nice. He seemed to try his best to take our business. He bowed to us so many times that in fact I felt so weird.
I planned to go for a haircut and perming in the afternoon. But then, Typhoon Signal No 3 and No 8 were posted early afternoon and all stores would close. Still remembered that my 18th years old birthday party with some of my high school friends was canceled because of Typhoon Signal No 10. Ha... and the last Signal No 8 was 3 years ago. 你也不得不信,這是"貴人招風雨"~~

你确实能呼风唤雨啊。
It's not easy to work as a salesperson in Hong Kong...that's why they have to fight hard and even lower their self-esteem to get one deal...
haha...you really 能呼风唤雨...and i think my youngest sis is more capable of "呼风唤雨" than you...she came back one day after you when the typhoon signal no. 8 was being hoisted...and some day in august last year, she came back with a signal no. 3 (and the wind was as bad as a signal no. 8 that day!)...
(glad that you are still updating your blog^^)
Can't believe that you are really looking~
:)
Polly, glad to know that you arrived home safely, and starting to re-adjust to Hongkong. Hope to see your posts often. :-) Good luck with everything!
